Municipal Records House Bill 2835Staff from Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) and the Massachusetts Town Clerks Association has worked with Senator James Eldridge of Acton and Representative John Keenan of Salem to file H2835. This legislation establishes a special legislative commission to examine the preservation and storage needs of municipal records throughout the Commonwealth. School Libraries Senate Bill 1906This Bill addresses the need for more equitable school library services and creates a Special Commission on School Library Services in the Commonwealth. At its March 7, 2013 monthly board meeting, MBLC voted to endorse the legislation.
The Massachusetts Center for the Book House Bill 3292MCB provides strong programming with statewide reach for young families, school-age children, and adults. MCB provides cultural programming essential to the public library mission of being at the heart of the community. H3292 seeks to establish MCB has a public-private partnership.
